joys of gardening

We've (mostly I've) been working in the backyard on a lovely little spot to start a garden. It takes a lot more work than it might in other parts of the country since we have to add so much to the soil. Then I had to take out the current landscaping of 3" rock. It's been hard work, but almost ready to plant. Somem hilarious moments as well. For example, do you remember those funny cartoons when someone would step on a rake and the handle would come up and crack him/her in the head? It totally happens! I was putting everything up in the garage and just barely caught my foot on the edge of the rake as I was turning to walk away. It smacked me right in the middle of the head. Luckily no real bruises, but I do have a lovely 'lil bump and I do mean little. Thanks to make-up and bangs, no one notices!

women, no wonder men think we are crazy

Men typically include other men and have the thought "the more the merrier" while women like to have their own small groups and don't invite other women in often. I have yet to figure that one out!

apple cider vinegar

I was searching online for home remedy's so I could breath. One that I found is the mix 1/2 water and 1/2 apple cider vinegar. Boil it and then inhale for 50-80 breaths. I learned to keep your eyes closed or it may burn a bit. It really does the trick though!

forever 23

Friday night I went out with some friends to Happy Hour. I was the only one not drinking alcohol and could not find non-alcoholic drinks on the menu and asked the waiter when he came up. He gave me a hard time about being too young and having to card me. I flat out asked him how old he thought I was and he told me 23. I used to hate looking so much younger than I am. Let me just say that the past few years I am definitely LOVING it!

first crawl

So my adorable little niece Coral crawled to me today. Vanessa even said she thinks I'm the first person she's crawled to. Coral really is such a CUTE kid!

On my way to work this morning I got rearended! I haven't been in an auto accident in about 8 years. Can you believe it? Luckily I'm really doing OK. Little stiff in the back and neck. I'll just have to see how I feel tomorrow. It's still a just a bit shocking. Now to see how long my Jeep will be in the shop.
